Rather than constantly being on the defensive by trying to remove spyware, the ISM Counter-Spy proactively prevents spyware from ever reaching your computers. Counter-Spy creates a protective filter on your Internet gateway that prevents users from inadvertently downloading malicious spyware or resource draining adware.

Create groups of users and set the default access to seven major services for each group.
Audio: Control Internet radio and MP3 downloads which can use valuable network bandwidth.
Secure HTTP Prevent your users from sending encrypted data through the proxy.
Downloads Restrict application downloads or compressed files such as ZIP and RAR files which can contain malicious code.
Flash/Shockwave Limit Flash animation and game access.
Java Restrict access to unauthorized software in web browsers, such as online games.
Browser Plugins Stop Spyware from using browser plugins to change computer settings or run files automatically without the user's knowledge.
Video Control streaming video content or movie file downloads that drain computer and network resources.
You have the ability to determine what locations are trusted sources for each service. You can be as detailed as you need, narrowing down the allowance or restriction to one location for one user, or many locations for multiple groups, giving you a great deal of flexibility when administering the permissions.
When a user or group needs access to a service and/or a web site that is normally restricted by their default group permission, you can create a temporary rule. Temporary permissions allow you to grant access for a certain length of time and expire automatically, making permission management easy to control.
